About Me
From an early age, my relationship with money has been anything but simple. I grew up experiencing the roller coaster of financial highs and lows—times when there was just enough to get by, and moments when the weight of scarcity felt overwhelming. Like many people, I was never taught how money truly works. The concept of budgeting, saving, and investing wasn’t part of everyday conversations in my home, school, or community. My challenges weren’t just about not having enough money—they were about not understanding its value, its influence, and the way it shapes every part of life.
That lack of understanding took a toll. Poor money decisions often led to stress that spilled over into other areas of life—relationships strained, opportunities missed, dreams delayed. I now know this struggle isn’t unique. It’s the silent reality for countless individuals and families who were never given the tools to navigate personal finance with confidence.
Over time, I realized that the pain I experienced wasn’t just about dollars and cents—it was about mindset, access, and empowerment. Money impacts more than bank accounts; it affects mental health, family dynamics, and even our sense of possibility for the future. Once I understood this, I knew something had to change—not just for me, but for everyone walking the same uncertain path.
This awakening is what fueled my passion for financial education and inspired me to create FCPT Skills Club.
Our mission is simple but profound: to transform financial futures by equipping people—especially children, teens, and underserved communities—with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to manage their money wisely.
FCPT Skills Club isn’t just about teaching financial terms or crunching numbers. It’s about reshaping mindsets and inspiring lifelong habits that lead to freedom and opportunity. We show people that financial education is more than balancing a checkbook; it’s about learning to make decisions that align with their values, goals, and dreams. It’s about breaking generational cycles of struggle and planting seeds of prosperity that grow into stability and success.
Through workshops, interactive lessons, and hands-on activities, we tackle topics that are rarely taught in traditional education: understanding credit, building savings, managing debt, setting financial goals, and even exploring entrepreneurship. We address modern-day challenges head‑on—rising costs of living, social media pressures, student loans, and the emotional side of spending—so participants can confidently navigate real-world money decisions.
Our approach is designed to meet people where they are. Whether someone is learning how to save their first $100 or planning their first investment, we believe financial education should be engaging, empowering, and practical. By integrating real-life scenarios, cultural relevance, and even biblical principles for those who seek it, FCPT Skills Club creates a safe space where financial learning feels personal and transformative—not intimidating.
But this work is about more than teaching skills. It’s about sparking hope. It’s about showing the next generation—and even adults who never got this chance—that financial freedom is possible. That no matter where you start, you can write a different ending for your money story.
Every workshop, every conversation, and every success story reminds me why I started this journey in the first place: so others don’t have to face the same heartache I once did. I want them to experience the peace that comes from having a plan, the confidence that comes from understanding their options, and the joy of seeing their goals come to life.
At FCPT Skills Club, we believe financial education is a life skill—one that opens doors, strengthens families, and empowers communities. We are committed to walking alongside each person we serve, guiding them from where they are now to where they want to go. Financial freedom isn’t just about money; it’s about living a fuller more meaningful life.
